Contact Us
Call, WhatsApp, or send a private message. You can call at any hour.

You can contact us about yourself, about a family member or friend, or as a professional or organisation making a referral. If a call feels like too much, email or WhatsApp works; tell us as little or as much as you want, and we will take it from there.
What happens when you get in touch
The first conversation is for understanding your situation, answering questions, and arranging an assessment if you want one. It is for information, not commitment; decisions come later, after assessment, if you choose to go ahead. A family member can make first contact on someone’s behalf and support the assessment process; the person themselves is always assessed directly before any admission decision.
If you go ahead, the path looks like this. An assessment with one of our professionals comes first, covering your history, health, and current concerns. From that, we recommend the form of care that fits — out-patient appointments, residential treatment, or another service — and explain why. Then a treatment plan is built with you. Support continues after treatment through aftercare, follow-up, and our support groups.

If this is urgent
If you or someone with you is in immediate danger — from injury, severe intoxication, or thoughts of ending their life — go to the nearest hospital or contact local emergency services now. Safe Places is not an emergency service, and neither of our centres receives emergencies; when a client already in our care has a medical emergency, the team arranges immediate transfer to a referral hospital. Once the immediate danger has passed, you are welcome to contact us to talk about what comes next. This subject is a heavy one to face alone; if it touches you personally, please treat that as one more reason to reach out.
For organisations, schools, and communities
Employers can ask about our Employee Assistance Programme, schools about counselling placements and screening, and community organisations about awareness and re-integration work. Use the same phone and email and mention what you are interested in.
